I have upgraded my MBP mid 2012 with 16bg ram and a SSD drive and also upgraded to Catalina once at it as I like my machine and have always been a fan of Mac. aif files in GarageBand can contain audio or midi loops, but GB doesnt provide a way of easily extracting midi information to a standard midi file.
